The first consignment of relief goods for the flood affected people of Malaysia has successfully landed in Kuala Lumpur.

According to NDMA, the first consignment of humanitarian aid carrying 40 tons of relief items was dispatched from Islamabad International Airport on Sunday via a chartered flight.

The relief consignment consisted of tents, blankets, quilts, sleeping bags, mats and life jackets.

Upon arrival, the consignment was received by representatives of Pakistan Embassy in Malaysia and Malaysian National Disaster Management Agency.

Pakistan remains steadfast in its commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to the flood affectees of Malaysia.
