Polling to elect new president of Pakistan has concluded at the Parliament House in Islamabad as well as four provincial assemblies.

In Islamabad, where members of the National Assembly and the Senate cast their votes, Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Aamer Farooq acted as the Presiding Officer.

A joint candidate of the PPP and PML-N Asif Ali Zardari and Sunni Ittehad Council's candidate Mahmood Khan Achakzai are in the run for the office of the President.
