NEPRA reduces tariff of Bagasse, Wind, Solar power plants

NEPRA has reduced the tariff of bagasse, wind and solar power plants which will result in estimated savings of 150 billion rupees over the remaining life of these projects.

According to the Authority, the reduction in tariff has been made on various components of seven bagasse, three wind and two solar plants of Independent Power Producers having cumulative capacity of around 355 MW.

Additionally, the tariff share of these IPPs, for energy generation beyond their respective annual plant factors, has also been reduced.

These savings are in addition to the recent tariff reduction of 12 thermal power plants estimated to save 182 Billion rupees over the remaining life of the projects.
