Petroleum Minister vows to provide conducive environment to investors

Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik has underscored the government's commitment to facilitating a conducive business environment to the investors.

He was talking to a delegation of Pakistan Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies Association (PPEPCA), which called on him in Islamabad today under the chairmanship of its Chairman Taha Ali Temini in Islamabad today.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed key opportunities and challenges in the Pakistan's oil and gas sector.

The Minister acknowledged the role of Pakistan Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies Association in energy sector.

He said the oil and gas exploration sector is a cornerstone of Pakistan's economy and the government is fully focused on reducing the import reliance of sector.

Ali Pervaiz Malik assured the Pakistan Petroleum Exploration and  Production Companies Association of the government's full support in resolving industry challenges, emphasizing a collaborative approach to ensure sustainable growth in Pakistan's petroleum sector.

During the discussions, Pakistan Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies Association highlighted its role in bolstering Pakistan's energy supplies and generating substantial revenue for the national exchequer.

The association also raised operational issues impacting exploration and production activities. It also welcomed the Minister's proactive approach and expressed optimism about efforts to enhance exploration activities, attract investment, and drive economic progress.
