Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the high-ranking Pakistani delegation for attending the farewell and state funeral of martyred Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In a post on X, he expressed gratitude for the sincere sympathy of the Government and people of Pakistan.

He said Pakistan and Iran have always stood side by side in solidarity and brotherhood.

The Iranian President expressed hope that, by relying on the deep bonds of brotherhood, relations between the two countries will expand and deepen further.
