
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi awarded a cash prize of one hundred thousand rupees and an honorary shield to Nurse Razia Noreen of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad.
Nurse Raziz Noreen had rescued a child during the tragic fire incident at the nursery of PIMS in Islamabad.
A ceremony to this effect was held in Islamabad today which was also attended by minority leader Samuel Pyare and Deputy Chief Nursing Officer PIMS, Shazia.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said compassion for humanity is the hallmark of the nursing profession.
He said the entire Pakistani nation pays tributes to Nurse Razia for her courageous and exemplary role.
Later, in an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan's correspondent, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi praised Razia Noreen for her extraordinary courage and dedication in saving the life of an innocent newborn baby.
He said her selfless service is a remarkable example of humanity, devotion to duty, and courage that will continue to inspire Pakistan and the world.
