President Dr. Arif Alvi has urged Muslims to follow the Sunnah of Holy Prophet Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam-un-Nabiyeen Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alayhee Wa Ashabehi Wassalam that is essentially aimed at the true well-being and welfare of humanity.
Addressing the two-day international Seerat-un-Nabi Conference in Islamabad on Sunday, he said Seerat-un-Nabi is a complete code of life for the mankind and the Holy Prophet Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam-un-Nabiyeen Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alayhee Wa Ashabehi Wassalam is a role model for every person of the world.
Paying homage to the Last Prophet, the President said the solution to the problems being faced by the Muslims including chaos and injustice lies in Seerat-un-Nabi. He said by learning from the life of the greatest leader in history and following his teachings we can improve our individual as well as collective lives. He said practicing Islamic teachings in their true spirit guarantee our betterment in this world and in the life hereafter.
The President stressed that we should take care of oppressed and poor as guided by our Holy Prophet. Quoting the example of China that helped its majority population to come out of poverty, he said no country can become a prosperous state without giving due rights to oppressed and less privileged.
The President underlined that we should inculcate ethics and morality in our younger generations. He said role of teachers and parents is pivotal in this regard. He counseled to uphold rule of law in the country to promote justice in the society.
The President said social harms like polarization and hatred can only be dealt effectively if we follow the Seerat of our Holy Prophet Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam-un-Nabiyeen Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alayhee Wa Ashabehi Wassalam. He also called for promoting interfaith harmony and tolerance terming it vital for peaceful coexistence in society.
In his address, Minister for Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor emphasized that the society should fight against corruption and other social disorders by following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam-un-Nabiyeen Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alayhee Wa Ashabehi Wassalam.
The Minister said the solution to all social problems lies in following the Seerat of Prophet Muhammad.
The Minister said we should follow the golden principles of Islam as model for peace and guidance. He said for the implementation of real spirit of Islam we need to examine ourselves against the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam-un-Nabiyeen Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alayhee Wa Ashabehi Wassalam.
