Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed the government's commitment to providing targeted fuel relief to deserving segments of society, as per the directives of the Prime Minister to ensure maximum relief to the common citizens.

He was chairing a joint meeting of the National Steering Committee on Fuel Subsidy Scheme and the Committee on Media Management for Prime Minister's Fuel Relief Scheme in Islamabad today.

Ishaq Dar instructed all concerned to ensure effective inter-provincial and inter-ministerial coordination, smooth execution, efficient resource allocation and a robust public awareness campaign.

He also appreciated the input and cooperation from the provincial governments, as well as the governments of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The meeting focused on reviewing the operational status, targeting mechanisms and implementation strategy for the targeted fuel subsidy scheme, as well as the media communication plan to ensure widespread public awareness and seamless outreach.
