Palestine has called for an immediate ceasefire in besieged Gaza to end Israel’s “war of atrocities” in the enclave.

The call was made by Palestinian Ambassador Riyad Mansour while addressing the UN General Assembly session.

President of the General Assembly Dennis Francis said the immediate priority in Gaza must be saving civilian lives and violence must stop.
