Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended the Muslim World League for promoting the true image of Islam globally.
He was talking to Secretary General Muslim World League Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa in Islamabad today [Friday].
The Prime Minister acknowledged efforts of the organization for advocating the common objectives of the Muslim world as well as fostering mutual respect and understanding among different religions, beliefs, and civilizations.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan's support for the objectives and goals of the Muslim World League. He thanked the Secretary-General for the decision to establish a Seerat Museum in Pakistan and expressed hope that this important project for the Muslim world would be completed soon. He further said Pakistan will continue to work towards the timely completion of joint projects, especially the establishment of the Seerat Museum.
Commenting on the upcoming International Conference on Girls Education in Muslim Communities, Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the support of the League in co-hosting the Conference.
The Prime Minister also mentioned Pakistan's long-standing fraternal relations with Saudi Arabia and expressed good wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.
In his remarks, the Secretary General thanked the Government of Pakistan for extending cooperation with the Muslim World League in making excellent arrangements for the Conference.
He further appreciated Pakistan's commitment and efforts to advance the goals of the Muslim world at the global level while further strengthening the brotherly relations between Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah.
He said that eminent scholars and academicians from different schools of thought are participating in the conference from across the globe.
Besides, the two leaders discussed the situation in the Middle East and condemned the Israeli atrocities against innocent Palestinians.
They urged the international community to play its due role in improving the situation.
