Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of senior editor Tahir Najmi.

He said Tahir Najmi was one of the most professional editors of the country. He also paid tribute to the services of Tahir Najmi in the field of journalism.

The Prime Minister prayed for the departed soul and commiserated with the bereaved family.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of senior journalist and editor of the daily Express Tahir Najmi.

In a statement on Friday, she said Tahir Najmi's services in the field of journalism will be remembered forever. She prayed for higher status in paradise for the departed soul and commiserated with the bereaved family.
