Speaker National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf says Pakistan highly values its brotherly relationship with Saudi Arabia as both countries share strong bonds of brotherhood based on mutual trust, culture, religion, and history.
He was talking to Chairman of Saudi Shura Council Dr Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday. Challenges facing the Muslim Ummah and important regional and global issues were discussed.
The Speaker hailed the Saudi parliamentary delegation's involvement in the two-day international parliamentary convention.
He expressed optimism towards the improvement of Saudi Arabia-Iran relations.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council, Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh said the successful organization of events commemorating the Constitution of Pakistan for a month is commendable.
