Interim inquiry report of PIA plane crash to be presented in parliament on 22nd June, Senate informed

Senate resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad today (Wednesday) with Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani in the chair.

The House offered Fateha for the people who died of coronavirus pandemic and martyrs of occupied Kashmir. Senator Sirajul Haq led the prayer.

The Senate was informed today that over 20 billion rupees have been allocated for Balochistan to plant 100 million plants in the province. 

Taking the floor during Question Hour, Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul said it is planned that block plantations will be established on 1500 acres in each district of the province.

Responding to another question, she said due to Coronavirus pandemic, air pollution has reduced up to sixty percent.

The Minister of State said in order to protect forests of Junijper, Shna, Zaitoon, Palosa, Ghaz and others in various districts of Balochistan the Ministry of Climate Change with cooperation of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal will provide energy efficient stoves to the people. She said these stoves will reduce the use of trees as a source of energy.

The Minister of State said the government has introduced an E-Vehicle policy to cater to 43 percent of vehicular emissions.

Taking the floor of the house, Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan said an interim inquiry report of the PIA plane crash will be presented in parliament on 22nd of this month.

Responding to a call attention notice moved by Mian Raza Rabbani and Sherry Rehman regarding PIA flight PK-8303 crash, he pledged that after inquiry responsible people will be held accountable.

He also assured that a free, fair and transparent investigation would be conducted regarding this tragic incident.

The Minister said voice and data boxes have been decoded from France which will provide the accurate data about the plane crash.

The House will now meet against on Friday at five p.m.
