Pakistan says uptick in violence in the Ukraine conflict is diminishing prospects for peace.

The concerns were expressed by Pakistan's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Usman Jadoon while delivering a national statement in the UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine.

He called for reversing the increasingly dangerous course of the conflict, saying the best way to achieve this is through greater investment in dialogue and diplomacy rather than military means.

Usman Jadoon said Pakistan will continue to support all efforts aimed at achieving a just, comprehensive, durable and peaceful resolution of this conflict.
