Analysts have hailed the UN Secretary General for launching massive flood appeal for Pakistan.
Talking to Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs Channel on Saturday night, they said the Secretary General himself admitted that Pakistan has less than one percent contribution in global carbon emissions but unfortunately is among the ten most vulnerable countries affected by climate change.
They said this year we have witnessed around 587% more rains than predicted. People of Pakistan have been affected by the loss of their homes, their businesses and livelihoods.
The analysts included; Former Ambassador Ali Sarwar Naqvi and Former Ambassador Najmuddin Shaikh.
Talking to Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs Channel on Saturday, Former Ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani and International Experts Dr. Huma Baqai have hoped that Pak-US relations will further strengthen over the course of time.
They said Pak-US relations have witnessed ups and downs over the years but the fact is that both the countries are important to each other.
They said Pakistan has an important geographical location in the perspective of Afghanistan that the United States can never ignore. They further said Pakistan wants equally good relations with Beijing and Washington and does not want to be part of any particular camp.
