(R) Said Nazir (Defence Analyst):In the backdrop of regional strategic situation, Pakistan has formed a security mechanism with Saudi Arabia and Turkiye with the objective of ensuing collective security and deterrence. It means that any attack on one country will be considered as an attack on all three countries. Pakistan will lead the formation of required framework in this regard. However, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye are trying to curtail expansion of war with Houthis who are attacking Saudi cities. Houthis are also targeting naval traffic through Bab al-Mandab Strait which is threat to whole world. It is alarming situation that war is expanding despite Pakistan’s diplomacy. Pakistan’s peace efforts are being spoiled through proxies. I think that war is on solution to Hormuz situation. Only India and Israel, spoiler of peace, are happy over expansion of war over to Muslim countries. Pakistan has categorically condemned Houthis’ attacks and expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia. Iran must step forward to de-escalate situation in gulf region.

Dr. Abdullah Gul (Defence Analyst):  Makkah Agreement is very important joint defence agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye. This pact has gained much popularity within the Muslim and non-Muslim world as major super power countries like Russia and China are also inclined towards this pact. I think that a new world order is on the rise in which western hemisphere is losing while southern hemisphere is rising. Pakistan is playing pivotal role in this new world order transformation because Pakistan has shown the courage and wisdom. Makkah Agreement is not against any country, but for the regional economic development and defence. Actually, existing security mechanism failed to protect Middle East during recent confrontation between Iran and US. So the gulf region needed some sort of defence and protection and Makkah Agreement has provided defence and security mechanism to Middle East. On the other side, India committing grave violations of international laws by persecuting Yasin Malik and every Kashmiri freedom fighter who is fighting to get rid of Indian illegal occupation on Jammu and Kashmir. Just two days back UN recognized a new world map in which India accepted Jammu and Kashmir as disputed territory. However, later on, India refused to accept IIOJK as disputed territory in a bid to please Hindu fanatics. Yasin Malik has been falsely accused and is behind the bars in India. India is bent upon to send him to gallows. Yasin Malik was not in a position to chalk out plan of murder for which he is blamed. India has also awarded death sentence to Afzal Guru without any evidence against him just to please Hindu fanatics. Now international court has also issued judgment against India on water issue, but India is not ready to accept this judgment, therefore, some sort of strict action must be taken against India. I think that all the human rights violations committed by India inside India and IIOJK resemble with atrocities committed by Israel on Palestinians in Palestine. Mishal Malik and her daughter Razia Sultana were denied meeting with Yasin Malik by Indian authorities. Therefore, the world must take action against India for snatching fundamental rights of people. India will have to surrender before the truth one day and grant freedom to Kashmiris and other freedom loving communities inside India.
