In Nigeria, at least 20 people were killed in an attack on market carried out by the gunmen in Sokoto state.

In a statement, Special Adviser to Sokoto Police Affairs Minister Idriss Gobir told press that large number of attackers riding on motorcycles created havoc in the area and torched nine vehicles.
