Russian forces claimed to have captured the eastern Ukrainian salt mining town of Soledar.

In a statement, Defence Ministry said its troops and Wagner fighters have taken control of most of Soledar which is of great strategic importance for securing the city of Bakhmut and eastern Donbas region.
