Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said the government is taking steps on priority basis to facilitate foreign investors and ease of doing business.
He was talking to renowned American businessman and investor Gentry Beach, who called on him in Dubai today (Tuesday) on the sidelines of World Governments Summit.
The Prime Minister informed that Pakistan offers vast opportunities for investment in various sectors. He said it is the most suitable time for foreign investors to benefit from the investment opportunities in Pakistan.
He said the reduction in the policy rate due to the government policies has spurred business growth and created new employment opportunities in the country.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan and the United States enjoy long-standing cordial relationship and expressed commitment to further enhancing trade and investment ties.
In his remarks, Gentry Beach lauded Pakistan's economic stability under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Recalling his recent visit to Pakistan, Gentry Beach termed the government's policies as business and investor-friendly. He also expressed keen interest in exploring investment opportunities in different sectors of Pakistan.
The US businessman said he is desirous of early implementation of his investment plans in Pakistan.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
