Constitutional and legal experts have termed the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 as a comprehensive and well-framed document to run the affairs of state and society in a balanced manner.

Taking part in a special program of Radio Pakistan's Current Affairs channel, former Attorney General Shah Khawar said the constitution represents all communities and provinces and reflects harmony among all federating units.

He said the constitution was framed with consensus among all political parties and it ensures rights of all people.

Shah Khawar said the role of all institutions has been defined with their specific domains in the constitution.

Renowned Lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan in his remarks said 1973 constitution is a remarkable achievement of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who garnered support from all political forces on this document.

He said military dictators twice kept the constitution in abeyance but they could not abrogate it, which reflects its strong structure.

Former Chief Justice Lahore High Court Nasira Iqbal, taking part in the program said all people enjoy equal rights under the constitution and rights of minorities have been guaranteed.
