Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is in Belarus, will hold talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko today.

On arrival at Palace of Independence, the Prime Minister will be received by President Lukashenko. The Armed Forces of Belarus will present guard of honour to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

President Lukashenko and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold a bilateral meeting followed by a delegation-level meeting in which both leaders will lead their respective delegations.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Shehbaz Sharif are set to discuss progress in the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the Belarusian head of state to Pakistan in November last year.

Emphasis will be placed on further development of trade and economic cooperation, including in manufacturing sector, food security, and humanitarian ties.

The parties will pay special attention to the key issues on the global and regional agenda and interaction of the two states in international organizations.

Both the sides will also sign agreements and MOUs to enhance cooperation in various sectors.
