Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that all possible effort would be made for keeping fares of economy class capped and to avoid increase.

He was addressing a news conference in Lahore today.

The Minister said PR mobile application would now also be available on iphone.

He said efforts are being made to implement the decision of judiciary regarding Karachi Circular Railway within 15 days.

Shaikh Rashid said the KCR can be developed through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor funding.

The Minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate Sir Syed Ahmad Express Train on 15th of next month.

He said that new train will run between Rawalpindi and Karachi and it will also have the economy class.

Shaikh Rashid said that Pakistan Railways has earned a revenue of 45 billion rupees which is four billion rupees more as compared to the previous year.

Sheikh Rasheed said that 1800 kilometers new railway tack will be laid under Main Line One project.
