109th birth anniversary of renowned short story writer of Urdu Language Saadat Hassan Manto was observed on Tuesday.
He was born at Ludhiana in British India on May 11, 1912.
Some of his most praised works include Toba Tek Singh, Iss Manjdhar Mein and Babu Gopi Nath.
He wrote twenty-two collections of short stories, one novel, five collections of radio plays, three collections of essays, and two collections of personal sketches.
He died on January 18, 1955, in Lahore at the age of 42.
