Pakistan baseball team will participate in the West Asia Baseball Cup 2019 going to be held in Sri Lanka from Saturday.

Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Dr. Fehmida Mirza held a meeting with the team at Pakistan Sports Complex and expressed best wishes for them.

The minister said that Pakistan Sports Board provided best facilities to team during the one month training camp.

She said that there are over 124 countries of the world where baseball is being played and amongst them Pakistan is at number 24.

She said that she is hopeful that national team will show good performance in West Asia Cup.

Baseball teams of Bangladesh, India, Iran, Nepal and Sri Lanka are participating in the event.

Pakistani team will leave for Sri Lanka on Saturday.
