President, PM pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam on 78th death anniversary

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have paid rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 78th death anniversary being observed today (Friday).

In their separate messages, they highlighted the Quaid-e-Azam's visionary leadership, constitutional struggle and tireless efforts for the rights of the Muslims of the subcontinent that led to the creation of Pakistan.

The President said the Quaid's principles of unity, discipline, constitutional continuity, equality before law and democratic processes provide guidance to the nation in overcoming present-day challenges.

He called upon the people, particularly the youth, to follow Quaid-e-Azam's example of courage, perseverance and confidence, and work for a stronger, peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.

Prime Minister said best way to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam's enduring legacy is to work together for the promotion of national unity, social harmony and economic stability, so that a country truly reflecting the vision, ideals and principles of the great leader could be bequeathed to future generations.
