Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam has welcomed the announcement of Governor's Rule and a state of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, terming it a step towards restoring peace, ensuring public safety, and improving administrative affairs.

In a statement today, he said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserve peace, development, prosperity, and good governance.

He said those who had pursued politics against public interest must now answer for their performance and the law and order situation in the province.
