Pakistan’s most reliable batsman Babar Azam, who already leads the National team in ODI and T-20 format, has also been appointed as Test captain.

PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani confirmed his appointment following a meeting with previous test captain Azhar Ali in Lahore on Tuesday night.

Babar Azam's first assignment will be to lead Pakistan in the ICC World Test Championship fixtures against New Zealand next month.
