The Senate started its new session at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday with Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani in the chair.

The House offered fateha for the departed souls of late Senator Ilyas Bilour, sister of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, members of the security forces, who embraced martyrdom in various incidents, and civilians died in Parachinar.

Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman led the Fateha.
