In India, the opposition parties have termed the rhetoric and comments of chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Mohan Bhagwat as provocative aimed at inciting violence against Muslims.
Muslim leader Asaduddin Owaisi in a statement condemned Bhagwat remarks saying ideology of RSS is a threat to the future of India.
In a statement, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said Bhagwat remarks are unconstitutional as there is no talk of a Hindu nation in the constitution and Muslims are also Indian national.
Communist Party of India leader Brinda Karat said the remarks of Bhagwat are objectionable and anti-constitutional.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in a tweet said one cannot do politics for long by creating fear in the minds of people.
