Director General International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Mariano has arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit.

In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said Pakistan and IAEA have long standing cooperation dating back to 1957. 

The spokesperson said the DG IAEA's visit will deepen Pakistan-IAEA partnership on peaceful uses of nuclear technology.
