Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah and Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan have extended heartfelt congratulations to the Ismailis of the world and especially the Ismaili community of Gilgit-Baltistan on the Takht-nashini of Prince Shah Rahim Agha Khan, as 50th Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims.
In the special messages the both leaders expressed hope that Prince Rahim Aga Khan will carry forward the mission of development and the welfare of humanity in accordance with the mission and vision of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan (deceased).
In his message, Governor Gilgit-Baltistan said that the leadership of His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan is the beginning of a new era for the Ismaili community and Muslims worldwide, which will further promote progress, peace and interfaith harmony.
In his message Chief Minister also said that the educational, health and social development projects under the Aga Khan Development Network has great importance for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and hoped that these initiatives will expand further.
