President Dr. Arif Alvi has called for increasing the number of lady health workers (LHWs) to effectively deal with the health related issues.
Addressing a conference on mental health in Islamabad on Thursday, he said the media has a greater role to play to create awareness amongst the public to prevent diseases.
The President said mental stress and anxiety is a major issue which is affecting about thirty to forty percent of Pakistani people. He said the people should indulge in social welfare work as well as healthy activities such as exercises to relieve the depression.
