Middle East countries have welcomed the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran to resume diplomatic ties.
The United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, in a tweet, said the agreement is an important step toward stability and prosperity in the region.
Jordan's Foreign Ministry, in a statement, expressed hope that the agreement would enhance regional stability and security.
Kuwait's Foreign Ministry, in a statement, said the agreement would build trust and develop friendly relations between the two countries.
Welcoming the agreement, Iraq said a new page of diplomatic relations between the two neighbouring countries will contribute to constructive cooperation.
Bahrain's Foreign Ministry, in a statement, termed the agreement a positive step towards resolving differences.
Lebanon, Turkey and Palestinian Presidency also welcomed the agreement as a positive development in the region.
