Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met Pakistan Muslim League-N President and former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today.        

They discussed overall political situation of the country, party affairs and parliamentary matters.           

The Speaker briefed PML-N President about the ongoing session of the National Assembly, legislative process and the performance of the first parliamentary year of the 16th National Assembly.

Nawaz Sharif emphasized supremacy of Parliament, law making in public interest and strengthening of democracy.       

He said only a strong parliament can contribute to political stability and public welfare in the country.
