US President Donald Trump says significant progress has been made toward an initial agreement to end the conflict with Iran.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that major parts of a ceasefire agreement have been finalized despite U.S. contradictions and aggression.

However, he dismissed media speculation about a final deal and reiterated Iran's firm and principled position.
