The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the negative impact of the unilateral coercive measures, Alena Douhan has urged the United States to cease the state of national emergency regarding Iran.

 In a report issued on Monday, the UN rapporteur commended the Government of Iran, in particular the High Council for Human Rights and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the transparent and constructive manner in which they coordinated and facilitated the visit of the UN dignitaries.
