Government launches Executive Portal of NFRCC

The government has launched the executive portal of National Flood Response Coordination Centre aimed at ensuring transparency in relief and rehabilitation efforts. 

Speaking at the launching ceremony in Islamabad on Monday, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said this portal has been launched on the special directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The Portal will provide information to the general public and development partners about the flood relief assistance being received from home and abroad.

The Planning Minister said Pakistan is faced with an unprecedented calamity which has affected thirty three million people. 

He said damage caused by the floods is being assessed on daily basis with the cooperation of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, the United Nations and the provincial governments.

Ahsan Iqbal asked the public to come forward for the help of the flood victims. He expressed confidence that Pakistan will emerge stronger, united and resilient from this disaster.
