Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Syed Imran Ahmad Shah says the government wants to promote religious tourism in the country and effective steps are being taken in this regard.

He expressed these views while talking to media at Evacuee Trust Property Board in Lahore on Monday.

He said opening up Pakistan for the religious tourism is of vital importance and recommendation has also been made by the Committee to Evacuee Trust Property Board in this regard.
