The situation in Gaza is catastrophic, as food, water and electricity supplies in the besieged city continue to dwindle.

According to a statement, spokesperson for World Food Program said Palestinians in Gaza continue to suffer as the only power plant remains out of service due to lack of fuel.

In a separate statement, Hamas' spokesman said that 535 residential buildings have been destroyed in Israeli air strikes, leaving around two hundred and fifty thousand people homeless.
