Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain says the federal capital will be made a model city according to the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

Chairing the 4th meeting regarding Electric Vehicles Policy in Islamabad, he directed the Capital Development Authority to install electric charging stations on all the petrol pumps in Islamabad.

Rana Tanveer Hussain said the government will give free electric bikes to the top one hundred and twenty students of the Federal Board.

He said thirty nine thousand electric bikes and one hundred and nineteen electric rickshaws will be provided on subsidized rates.

During the meeting, the progress on installing forty electric charging stations along roads and motorways was also reviewed.
