The government is taking strict action against persons involved in spreading fake propaganda and malicious campaign on social media.

In this connection, the Inspector General Islamabad has issued notices to the accused, who were involved in spreading chaos and disorder in Pakistan through a malicious campaign on social media.

Notices were issued to the accused Sibghatullah Virak, Muhammad Arshad, Atta-ur-Rehman, Azhar Mashwani, Komal Afridi, Arusa Nadeem Shah and M. Ali Malik.

The Federal Government, under Section 30 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, had formed a joint investigation team to prevent crimes on social media. The JIT has summoned the accused tomorrow.

More culprits are being identified and action is being taken against them under the laws.
