Adviser to Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad says the results of latest Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Business Confidence Survey indicate that Pakistan is a promising and reliable destination for investment.
In a statement, he said the survey shows that foreign investor's confidence has improved to six percent which is highest since November 2022.
Highlighting the global perception boost, he said the survey finds out that optimism about Pakistan's global business situation has jumped to thirty-one percent from ten percent.
The Adviser to Finance Minister said, according to the survey results, Pakistan's business situation has improved to twenty percent from eight percent earlier, showing improving cost of doing business.
He said the survey points out that investors are anticipating thirty percent sales growth with industry recovery, demand and production activities.
The survey results indicate that the employment prospects have improved, with Manufacturing sector leading with a rise to six percent from two percent, followed by Services sector's robust growth, rising from seven to thirty percent.
Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry comprises over two hundred members, from over thirty countries, representing fourteen sectors and it has invested twenty-two billion dollars in Pakistan in last ten years.
The Chamber is contributing one third to total taxes, its twenty-five companies are listed at Pakistan Stock Exchange, while many other are part of Fortune 500.
