Furthermore, four reports of the Standing Committees on various bills were presented in the House.  Responding to a Calling Attention Notice, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Nazeer Tarar said efforts are being made to rationalize electricity prices to provide affordable energy to consumers.

Dispelling the impression of shutting down the captive industrial units, he said the government is focusing on addressing the issue of capacity payments to reduce electricity prices.
