Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry has urged the United States to play its due role for resolving the lingering Kashmir dispute peacefully.

He was talking to the US Deputy Ambassador Andrew J Schofer, who called on him in Islamabad.

Referring to the worsening political and human rights situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry said it is incumbent upon international community, especially the United States to play its much-needed role to stop the human rights violations in the territory.
