Renowned television and stage comedian Javed Kodu passed away in Lahore last night after protracted illness. 

His famous television plays include Khawahish, Ainak Wala Jinn and Aashiana.

He has been laid to rest at the Singhpura Graveyard in Lahore.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of renowned artist and comedian, Javed Kodu.    

In his condolence message, the Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and commiserated with the bereaved family. 

He said Javed Kodu, was distinguished for his short height and towering talent.                

The Prime Minister said Javed Kodu's demise has left a void in the media industry that can never be filled.
