The United States has reaffirmed commitment to strengthen strategic relationship with Pakistan.

The understanding to this effect was reached during a meeting between Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal and a US Congressional delegation in Islamabad.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized that in the realities of new geo-politics, there is a need to establish a new equilibrium in Pak-US relations based on the ground realities, mutual trust and development focused partnership.                                              

The US delegation stressed the need to engage private sector to unlock investment opportunities and build investor confidence.
