President vows to raise voice for Palestinians’ rights

President Dr. Arif Alvi has expressed Pakistan's strong commitment to continue to raise voice for the rights of Palestinian people.

In a letter to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, he re-assured of Pakistan's efforts in mobilizing the international community for the Palestinian cause.

The President reaffirmed Pakistan's abiding support for a just settlement of the Palestine issue in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and for establishment of an independent, viable and contiguous Palestinian state with pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds Al Sharif as its capital.

Arif Alvi strongly condemned Israel's violence and illegal actions against Palestinians saying these are against humanitarian norms, human rights and international law.

The President said the people of Pakistan share the pain and distress of the Palestinian people. He expressed his profound sympathies and condolences for the victims of Israeli attacks and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured.
