Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation Faisal Kundi has urged the world community to help Pakistan during climate related calamities.
He was addressing the World Bank Group Pavilion Event at the sideline of COP-27 conference in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
The Special Assistant said that Pakistan has gone through one of the worst natural calamities in the form of floods and more than 40% of the country and crop fields were submerged under flood water.
Highlighting the government's initiatives for social protection and poverty alleviation, he apprised the forum that under Benazir Income Support Programme, 25000 rupees are being paid to every household who lived below a certain poverty level.
