The Sea Phase of joint naval exercise between Pakistan and China, Sea Guardian -2023 begins in North Arabian Sea tomorrow (Tuesday).
The Sea Phase would encompass advance level naval operation i.e. maritime security Ops, tactical maneuvers, various warfare related exercises and Search & Rescue operations to deal with variety of threats at sea.
Frontline Destroyer, Frigates, Helicopters, Rescue Ship, Submarine and Special Forces from Pakistan Navy and Peoples Liberation Army's are participating in the exercise.
Sea-Guardian exercise was initiated in 2014 and since then, it has become a major exercise between the navies of both countries.
The exercise comprises two phases including harbor phase and sea phase.
Workshops, seminars and discussion are also part of the exercise to further promote harmony among both the navies and to share experiences.
The Exercise Sea Guardian will help improve the strategies to tackle common threats and enemies.
It will also enhance the defence cooperation between both countries and their naval forces.
