The Joint Investigation Team, headed by IG Islamabad Police, has summoned another four people on Monday, involved in spreading fake propaganda on the social media.

The JIT issued notices to Sardar Azhar Tariq Khan, Siraj Ahmed, Asif Rasheed, and Muhammad Arshad.

Earlier, the notices were issued to seven individuals, including Sibghatullah Virk, Muhammad Arshad, Atta-ur-Rehman, Azhar Mashwani, Komal Afridi, Arusa Nadeem Shah and M. Ali Malik to appear before the JIT today.

It is pertinent to mention that the Federal Government, under Section 30 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, had formed a Joint Investigation Team against fake news and negative propaganda on social media.

Identification of more culprits, involved in fake propaganda on the social media, is continuing and action is being taken against them as per the law.
